When I was a kid I legit thought Rex was actually a separate living being, since all the characters would look at Rex as it’s own person. Watching the show right now, and I realized Robbie just uses his ventriloquism as a crutch to be able to show his true self to others since without Rex he’s awkward and has very little confidence to do it on his own.
